A foot fetish is that of someone who has a distinct sexual arousal from the human feet. The proper term given to a foot fetish is podophilia. This is a more frequently known fetish and more common amongst males, although probably one that is more hidden within a persons personal life. Sexual interest in the feet can vary wide but yet be very specific to what element it is that brings arousal. Whether it is the person doing it to someone’s feet or having it done to theirs - viewing, handling, licking, sniffing, tickling or kissing are the many on the table. It can simply be the scenario in which the feet are – on the dash board, walking through sand.

Every foot fetishist would have a different request of their feet pleasure. It could be that the feet are wearing shoes, high heels or they are arched bare or wearing stockings. Some of the categories the foot fetish can be put into:

• Admiration of the shape and form of the feet
• Worship of the foot (voluntary or forced)
• Oral pleasuring of the foot
• Using the foot to stimulate sexual organs
• Shoes
• Being trampled by feet
• Feet mixed up with some kind of food

I was surprised at how many theories there were to explain the motive behind someone’s foot fetish! Maybe because as a person who does not entertain the idea of someone lingering around my feet, it’s hard to understand the pleasure arrived from it. Just a few mentioned:

• The human foot has that of a similar shape of the human body, particularly the female hips, which can explain the more regular tendencies in men. The foot is completely made up of curves, the tips to the bottom of the toes, the instep curving around along to the heel.
• The feet are normally hidden, something hidden is something wanted. This has the same ideal as the female breasts, which are covered up in public.
• The odour from feet can have an attraction, like that of human pheromones produced from the genitalia.
• Admiration of the feet can be related to submissive behaviour. Being seen as degrading and humiliating.

Although some people can not understand the theory behind a foot fetishist, thinking that it is unpleasant and the foot is ugly. The foot is another part that makes up us beautiful creatures just the same as the breasts, the buttocks, the legs and genitalia.
